MKA Welcomes Brian Markham!

Strengthening our cultural building leadership

MKA is pleased to announce the addition of a new Principal to our team! Brian Markham joins MKA with 25 years of experience leading complex arts and cultural building projects around the world. His arrival reinforces our strategic focus on expanding and elevating MKA’s structural engineering practice.

Throughout his career, Brian has partnered with world-class architects, museums, performing arts venues, and academic institutions to deliver technically sophisticated, design-forward environments that serve both mission and community. Known for aligning engineering excellence with institutional vision, he has guided multidisciplinary teams on the design of some of the most demanding cultural facilities in the world.

“Collaboration with bold dreamers is pure joy. Whether it’s owner vision, architectural aspiration, or artist inspiration (or all of the above), working within that creative space has been the calling of my career. I’m thrilled to join MKA, where that kind of creativity meets technical excellence. I look forward to leading within a new team to expand what’s possible—while making sure the possible can also be practical.” – Brian Markham

MKA Chairman and CEO Ron Klemencic welcomes Brian to the team, stating: “MKA’s valued partnerships with clients who create some of the most unique venues around the world will benefit from Brian’s exceptional talents. Brian’s deep experience working on the design of buildings which support the arts and cultural institutions strengthens MKA’s commitment to excellence.”

MKA is thrilled to welcome Brian to our team, and for a future full of opportunities that expand our contributions to making the world a better place.
