Reimagining of the Young Korean Academy in Los Angeles by Page & Turnbull creates cultural touchstone in the landmark headquarters, engaging community in Korean-American history LOS ANGELES, Calif. —The architecture and preservation firm Page & Turnbull, has announced the groundbreaking of a transformation of the Young Korean Academy, a Craftsman-style residence and cultural touchstone for the Korean American community that dates to 1910, into a new multiuse cultural center. Led by Korea’s Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs and the project leader Heritage Smart Consulting Group, a celebration and ceremony for this transformational rebuilding project will be held this Thursday, December 11 at 2:00pm.
