Reinvented as Cultural Center, L.A.’s Historic Young Korean Academy Illuminates Korea Diaspora

Reimagining of the Young Korean Academy in Los Angeles by Page & Turnbull creates cultural touchstone in the landmark headquarters, engaging community in Korean-American history LOS ANGELES, Calif. —The architecture and preservation firm Page & Turnbull, has announced the groundbreaking of a transformation of the Young Korean Academy, a Craftsman-style residence and cultural touchstone for the Korean American community that dates to 1910, into a new multiuse cultural center.
