COWI Boosts Canadian Growth with New Surrey Office
SURREY, British Columbia: Global engineering consultancy COWI is set to open a new office in Surrey, British Columbia, to further strengthen its presence in Canada as the company continues to grow across North America.
The new location marks the latest step in COWI’s Canadian growth journey, supporting an expanding portfolio of infrastructure projects and a growing workforce in one of North America’s most active markets for transportation and civil infrastructure investment.
Located at 9850 King George Boulevard, 3rd Floor, Surrey, BC V3T 0P9, the office complements COWI’s existing office in North Vancouver and provides the company with a stronger presence across the Greater Vancouver Area.
Over the past several years, Canada has become an increasingly important market for COWI, with growing demand for expertise in transportation, bridges, tunnels, marine infrastructure, geotechnics, coastal engineering and heavy civil works. As project activity and client demand continue to increase, the company is investing in its regional footprint to support long-term growth and strengthen its ability to deliver complex infrastructure projects.
“COWI’s success is built on our ability to attract exceptional people and provide them with opportunities to solve some of society’s most complex infrastructure challenges. Surrey’s rapid growth, strong transit connectivity, and direct connection to downtown Vancouvermake it an ideal place to expand our presence in the Greater Vancouver Area. By establishing a new office here, we are broadening access to talent, supporting our continued growth in Canada, and creating new opportunities for engineers, technical specialists, and project professionals to help shape the future of transportation and infrastructure across the region,” said Anne-Marie Langlois, Vice President, Head of Engineering, Canada, COWI.
Surrey was selected for its strategic location at the heart of one of Canada’s fastest-growing urban centres. Situated next to a SkyTrain station and in the centre of Surrey City Centre’s ongoing transformation, the office provides access to one of the largest and fastest-growing business communities in British Columbia. The city is expected to become the province’s most populous municipality before the end of the decade.
The new office will support the same multidisciplinary services currently delivered from North Vancouver, including bridge, tunnel, transportation, marine, coastal, geotechnical and heavy civil engineering. It will also support continued growth in transportation infrastructure, including roads and highways, as demand for these services continues to increase across Western Canada.
The expansion reinforces COWI’s commitment to Canada as a key growth market and reflects the company’s long-term confidence in the region’s infrastructure sector. With offices now serving both the North Shore and the southern portion of the Greater Vancouver Area, COWI is well positioned to support clients, partners and communities as they invest in the next generation of transportation and civil infrastructure.
