Case Engineering Providing MEP Design for New St. Louis Area Dutch Bros Coffee Shops

St. Louis, MO – Case Engineering has partnered with St. Louis-based Coralic Architecture to provide MEP engineering services for a pair of new drive-thru Dutch Bros Coffee shops in St. Louis County.

The drive-thru coffee chain, known for its customizable drinks, fun atmosphere and fast drive-thru service, plans to open locations in Kirkwood and Crestwood.

The Crestwood store will be located at 9838 Watson Road on the site of a former Red Lobster restaurant. The Kirkwood store is planned for Greentree Center at 10300 Manchester Rd. Both shops will be 986 sq ft and include two drive-thru windows and a walk-up window (no indoor seating). The Kirkwood store is slated for completion by the end of 2026, with the Crestwood store expected to open in early 2027.

Dutch Bros, Inc. was founded in 1992 by brothers Dane and Travis Boersma in downtown Grants Pass, Oregon. The first franchise opened in Oregon in 2000, then rapidly spread across the northwest. Today, Dutch Bros continues to grow with over 1,000 locations in 20 states, with plans to build an additional 4,000 shops nationwide over the next decade. Dutch Bros opened its first St. Louis-area location in March 2025 in O’Fallon, MO in St. Charles County.

Case Engineering has provided MEP engineering services for approx. 70-80% of the Dutch Bros Coffee chain stores nationwide, tapping into the firm’s expertise in quick service restaurant design. In 2024, Case engineers partnered with Coralic Architecture to design a Dutch Bros Coffee roasting facility in Melissa, TX. With over 60,000 sq ft, the state-of-the-art facility is designed to meet the company’s rapidly growing business.

The new Crestwood and Kirkwood locations follow a prototype design, with MEP engineering playing a particularly important role in the stores’ ongoing success.
