Ware Malcomb Announces Jamie Gaan Promoted to Director, Architecture in Pleasanton Office

PLEASANTON, Calif. — Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced that Jamie Gaan has been promoted to Director, Architecture in the firm’s Pleasanton office. In his new role, he will continue guiding the growth, performance, and strategic direction of the Architecture group in Pleasanton and beyond.

“Since joining the firm, Jamie quickly became a key leader within the Northern California region,” said Jim Terry, Principal, Ware Malcomb. “His calm leadership style, strong technical foundation and focus on staff development have elevated the capabilities of our office, and we congratulate him on this well-deserved promotion.” 

Gaan joined Ware Malcomb as Studio Manager in 2024 and is credited with supporting teams across multiple offices while advancing complex project pursuits. With more than 20 years of industry experience, his resume includes mixed-use and multifamily developments, hospitality, commercial, retail, science and technology and educational facilities. Along with his diverse design portfolio, Gaan’s studio leadership, business development, project management, entitlement/permitting and client engagement skills add depth and strength to the architecture studio. 

Gaan earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and minored in environmental design and sustainable design.
