Carollo Engineers Selected to Design New Bob Derrington Water Reclamation Plant
City of Odessa moves forward to modernize aging facility and strengthen long-term reliability ODESSA, Texas – Carollo Engineers has been selected to design and provide engineering services during construction for the new and improved Bob Derrington Water Reclamation Plant (BDWRP) , to replace the aging facility. The selection builds on Carollo’s prior work at the site, including a Condition Assessment and Facility Master Plan that augmented the city’s modernization strategy. The project supports Odessa’s goal to modernize the facility while maintaining uninterrupted wastewater treatment and reuse service for the community and industrial customers. Originally constructed in 1977, the BDWRP was most recently expanded in 1995. It is rated to treat an average daily flow of 12.7 million gallons per day (MGD) and a peak two-hour flow of 47 MGD.
