ACI, NEU Release New Certificate Program for Low-Carbon Concrete Covering Qualification, Design, and Compliance

Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District Announces Groundbreaking on Collaborative Project on Mississippi River

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Memphis District will perform a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 1:15 p.m. to signify the beginning of construction to update and expand the existing Greenbelt Landing at the north end of Mud Island near downtown Memphis.  MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Located at River Mile 738, Greenbelt Park spans approximately 102 acres of public green space along the Mississippi River. Originally constructed in the late 1960s as part of the Mississippi River & Tributaries Project, the park has long served as a community hub for recreation and river access. The Greenbelt Landing Project will enhance the park’s infrastructure and amenities, including repairs to the existing boat ramp, construction of a second upstream ramp, installation of mooring anchors, ADA-compliant parking upgrades, and additional lighting for safety and accessibility. Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern Marks 100 Years with Structural Upgrades and New Public Installation 

Historic Infrastructure and Adaptive Reuse Landmark Enters Milestone Year in Houston HOUSTON, Texas — One of Houston’s most distinctive examples of historic infrastructure repurposed for public use, the  Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern , is entering its 100th year with newly completed structural improvements and a new interactive art installation.  Buffalo Bayou Partnership (BBP) recently completed a $200,000 repair and reinforcement project designed to preserve the 87,500-square-foot underground structure while supporting its continued use as a civic and cultural destination.
