Schnabel Engineering Celebrates 70 Years of Engineering Excellence

GLEN ALLEN, VA — Schnabel Engineering is marking a major milestone in 2026 as the firm celebrates 70 years of delivering innovative geotechnical, dam, and tunnel engineering solutions across the United States and around the world. 

Founded in 1956 by brothers Harry and Jim Schnabel, the company has grown from a small test-drilling operation into a nationally recognized engineering firm with more than 700 employees and 31 offices. Today, Schnabel provides specialized expertise for complex infrastructure projects in more than 130 countries.
