Nexus Engineering Group Appoints Jason Didion to Senior Engineering Director, Steve Wilson and Gary Ventimiglia to Engineering Directors 

Seasoned Engineering Leaders to Guide Teams Across All Offices, Advancing Nexus’ Culture and Technical Expertise 

Cleveland, OH — Nexus Engineering Group, a full-service independent engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCm) firm, is proud to announce the promotions of Jason Didion to the role of Senior Engineering Director, and Steve Wilson and Gary Ventimiglia to the position of Engineering Directors. These appointments reflect Nexus’ continued investment in developing strong leadership and advancing its technical capabilities to support growth across all offices — Cleveland, Maumee, Midland, and Oak Brook.

The three leaders will focus on driving innovation, mentoring emerging talent, and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality, safe solutions that reflect Nexus’ commitment to engineering excellence. Wilson and Ventimiglia’s regional appointments further reinforce the firm’s dedication to building deeper relationships and insights within their respective markets.

About Jason Didion, Senior Engineering Director – Executive Team 

Didion brings nearly two decades of electrical engineering, project management, and departmental leadership experience to his new role as Senior Engineering Director. A licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.), he holds both a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toledo. Throughout his career, he has led complex capital projects and guided multidisciplinary engineering teams across industries. 

Since joining Nexus in 2014, Didion has served as Electrical Department Manager and, most recently, Engineering Director, where he advanced technical standards, supported major client programs, and strengthened inter-office collaboration.  

As Senior Engineering Director and member of the executive team, Didion will provide oversight of the entire engineering function for Nexus, leveraging his technical expertise and leadership to drive process improvements, enhance training and development, reinforce quality, and support a culture of operational and personal safety across the organization. 

About Steve Wilson, Engineering Director – Cleveland and Oak Brook 

With more than 16 years of experience in the chemical and refining industries, Wilson brings deep technical expertise and a passion for developing talent. A graduate of Louisiana State University with a degree in Chemical Engineering, Wilson began his career at Honeywell, where he served in various production, research, and process control engineering roles. 

Wilson joined Nexus in 2014 as an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer and has since advanced through several leadership roles, including I&C Department Manager. He earned his Professional Engineer (PE) license in 2020 and recently completed his MBA at Cleveland State University. 

Wilson will have oversight of the engineering teams in both Cleveland and Oakbrook.  

About Gary Ventimiglia, Engineering Director – Maumee and Midland 

Ventimiglia brings over 17 years of process and project engineering experience to his new leadership role. A graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Ventimiglia’s technical background includes front-end engineering design (FEED), process simulation, equipment design, and relief system analysis. 

Prior to joining Nexus in 2019, he held senior engineering roles at several engineering consulting companies, supporting clients across the refining and chemical sectors. At Nexus, he was promoted to Process Engineering Discipline Manager in 2020 and has been instrumental in delivering complex projects for clients such as Nutrien, DuPont, Cenovus, and Marathon. Ventimiglia is licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in both Ohio and Michigan. 

Ventimiglia will lead the engineering teams in both Maumee and Midland.
