LAN, Inc. Hosts Community Leaders to Mark Expansion in West Texas

Lubbock, Texas – Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) recently hosted a client event following the August opening of its new Lubbock office, marking the firm’s expansion to West Texas. The gathering, held at Texas Wedge, brought together more than 50 local leaders, industry partners and community members for an evening of networking and hospitality.

The event highlighted LAN’s commitment to serving the infrastructure needs of West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. Notable guests included Sen. Charles Perry, a strong advocate for the Texas Water Fund, and his wife, Jaclyn Perry. Also in attendance were Dr. Sal LoCoco, chair of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center; Kevin Spiller, president of Mighty Wash, Inc., and his wife, Sherri Spiller; and Scott Taylor, Lubbock County director of public works. Public works staff from the City of Abernathy and various regional commercial suppliers also attended.

“It is exciting to be back in West Texas, where our first engineering work took place over 90 years ago. From those early days of grain elevators to now offering full-service engineering, we are happy to be back home and working with the people and communities that make this part of our country so special,” said Mike Keenum, PE, CFM, West Texas principal.

Keenum noted that the event, dubbed the “Lubbock Par-Tee,” provided a unique opportunity to reintroduce the firm to the area. “It was a chance for clients and business leaders to come together and enjoy an evening of golf and networking. We hope to make this a recurring event and look forward to investing in West Texas,” he added.

The Lubbock location allows LAN to provide enhanced support for local clients while fostering collaboration with regional stakeholders on critical infrastructure projects.
