Ware Malcomb Names Taek Kim Director, Architecture in Los Angeles Office

LOS ANGELES, Calif.—Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced that Taek Kim has joined the firm as Director, Architecture in its Los Angeles office. In this role, Kim will work alongside the Los Angeles leadership team to grow market share in the region.

Kim brings more than twenty years of experience as an architect and design leader to his role at Ware Malcomb. For the past six years, he served as the Studio Director for a large LA-based design and planning firm, overseeing their national and global architecture practices. Previously, he held key roles with leading design firms in Los Angeles and New York, including work under renowned architect Frank Gehry. 

Kim’s portfolio spans work in the United States and internationally, including large-scale mixed-use developments, high-rise residential and commercial towers, R&D, life science, retail destinations, and cultural institutions. His projects have been recognized with awards from the online platform Architizer, Interior Design Magazine, and others, while his perspectives on construction and design have been shared through lectures and teaching at institutions such as Columbia University, Pratt Institute, and ULI.

He earned his architecture degree from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY.
